The ultimate design flexibility on world class digital media, Hillmorr’s offering provides an opportunity for out-of-the-box designs. Murals or feature walls: designs that cover a complete wall. Flexibility in panel width, printing 1300mm wide-width substrates providing seamless wallcoverings. Digital wallcoverings are empowering interior designers and creatives to think outside of the bounds of analogue equipment that has traditionally restricted patterns to a repeat.

Our digital printing design and production process allows us to create and execute locally designed wallcoverings. This ensures that we meet and exceed customer expectations, providing tailor-made wallcoverings in incredibly short lead times without sacrificing outstanding quality and durability. Hillmorr’s digital process allows for rapid setup and high production speeds giving room for flexibility in production, from low volume orders for our feature walls through to high-volume runs for our commercial contract projects.

In the contract market, the following properties of our print technology is paramount:

Abrasion robustness

Digitally printed wallcoverings are found in numerous interior spaces, including high-traffic environments. Our robust ink technology is able to withstand scratches and scuffing better than any other technology and is less prone to damage during post-processing and installation. Our wallcoverings can be seen in Projects that require a high level of wear and tear. Such as, Hotels and Pubs as well as Aged Care facilities. Colour consistency & dimensional stability

When the printed images fill an entire wall space, this is a Mural. The image is spread over multiple panels, hung side by side. These individual panels all need to match each other and align perfectly.

Even with a standard room height, for example 3 metres, a fractional difference in printed panels will show. As our ink technology does not use any form of heat in the printing process, the media does not deform, safeguarding dimensional stability.

Colour:

Our ink technology has a highly controlled dot placement for the ink droplets, with no dot gain and therefore, outstanding colour consistency and continuity from a wide colour gamut, with sharp details and strong saturation for dark colours.

SUSTAINABILITY \\ OUR STATEMENT

Being environmentally conscious is very important to us and we make every effort to reduce our footprint at every stage of our processes from design through to production.

Because of this, we use inks and printing process which are GREENGUARD GOLD certified. Furthermore, our printing process uses absolutely no water. Our inks are odourless and require no need for curing after print production for immediate indoor use, even in sensitive environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.

We also choose to ship our wallcoverings by sea freight, drastically reducing our carbon emissions; air shipping emits roughly 500g CO2 per metric tonne of freight per kilometre, while shipping via sea freight emits only 10-40g. That works out to a 92-98% reduction in CO2 emissions by choosing sea freight over air – something we’re able to do thanks to the fact we print in-house. We also print samples and projects on demand, presenting our wallcovering options with PDF options before putting ink to substrate.

All our vinyl wallcoverings are Low VOC and meet California Code CA-1350 for indoor air quality, and are free from cadmium, lead and other heavy metals. we also have the ENVIRO substrate our eco-wallcoverings which is created from recycled plastic bottles.

All of our wallcoverings are printed on demand from our production facility in Sydney. We have one metre minimums and we produce only what the project requires. Furthermore, wherever possible we develop custom projects with digital concepts before we produce any sampling.
